Hello friends! I am excited to share with you the Magnolia Blossoms Card Kit! This gorgeous clear stamps set comes with coordinating die-namics, a cube of MFT Extreme Black Ink, and some watercolor paper. For my project today, I made a very simple slimline card featuring one of the gorgeous floral images from this set.

To start, I first trimmed a piece of Princess Pink Prestige Card Stock to 3.5″ x 5.5″ and blended it with some Distress Oxide Inks. I started with my darkest color at the bottom left corner and worked my way toward my lightest color, leaving the very top of the card alone so that the light pink card stock would show. For my colors, I used Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Tattered Rose. Once blended, I then lightly splattered this blended area with some diluted white and sepia acrylic paints.

Once dry, I then used my black ink to stamp my images around the edges of the card stock. Even though it didn’t fit perfectly, I used my MISTI to get a nice, crisp image and offset each flower so that only part of the image was showing. I next stamped my sentiment and then trimmed my piece down to 3 3/8″ x 8 3/8″ and layered it with a piece of 3.5″ x 8.5″ Smooth White Card Stock.

As someone who has neither the patience nor skill to color detailed florals, I love this design. You used the new kit to create such an elegant card in a way that I think I could, too. Thanks.
I love how you did the magnolias. I love magnolias, but never buy the stamps because I don’t think I would be good at coloring them. Your card adds color without actually having to color them appropriately. TFS
Love this set for both the ‘care’sentiment and the magnolias. This card in particular shows me away to create without coloring.
The ink blending really sets off these beautiful magnolia blossoms. Nicely done!
This is a really cool format… love these blossoms and with that pink cardstock and your superb blending it is gorgeous. I have visited a plantation with magnolias bordering the driveway. It is such a statement! Nicely done.
Gorgeous! The inked background looks amazing!
Love the idea of just ink blending and then stamping. Your card is lovely.
Beautiful card to showcase those beautiful blooms, Rachel. 🙂
Wow Rachel this card is so beautiful! I love the no coloring! Great inspiration!
You created an elegant card without tedious coloring. Just some beautiful color blending and you have a beautiful card.
