Hello friends! For Day 2 of the MFT Stamps September Release Countdown, I have a Christmas shaker card to share with you featuring the new Sweet Christmas and Santa Sends His Love Stamp Sets. I love how these sets come with coordinating stamps to help “color in” the images, making it super easy to create a card.

I first stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I then used Field Day, Wild Cherry, and Cornflower Premium Dye Inks to stamp some color to my images. I finish them quickly by coloring in Santa’s skin (E0000, E000, E11, E04), his beard (0, C00, C1, C3), and his belt (W9). Next, I cut them out using their coordinating dies.

For my card base, I cut a piece of Cornflower Prestige Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and adhere a white frame that I had diecut using the Tri-Frame Cover Up Die-namics. I cut 5 more frames and adhered 4 of them together with liquid adhesive to create a dimensioned frame for my shaker embellishments. I used three of the negative rectangle pieces to cut some snow drifts with the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and used three other rectangular pieces to blend some Cornflower and Lazy Day Premium Dye Ink. Once blended, I splattered these pieces with some diluted opaque white paint to resemble snow.

Prior to adding the center snow drift, I stamped my “Merry Christmas” sentiment with black ink. Once I had both my snowy sky and snow drifts adhered, I then glued my 4-layered frame to the base and added some chunky glitter for snow. I sealed it off with a piece of clear acetate and then added my last frame on top of the acetate for a clean look. Lastly, I added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.

I love your rich blue background (in Rachel style) intertwined with the trio frame. The new Santa’s are a great addition to all things shaker. Another great layout.
You are so sweet, Lynn, thank you!
Such a fun and festive shaker, Rachel. Those Santas look ready to party. Great stamps to help color them in. I think the background looks amazing; nice and snowy. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!
This Santa is so very retro to me… I remember this guy from the early 50’s! Childhood memories of happy Christmas’s! Love that bright and happy blue background with the scattering of snow. It’s definitely beginning to look like Christmas! Great job and TFS!
