Hello crafty friends! It’s time for a brand new Outside the Box Challenge! If you’ve never made a box card, I encourage you to try! All of the Outside the Box products from MFT Stamps make constructing your own box card super easy!

The theme for this month’s challenge is WINTER. For my take on the challenge, I created a cozy, indoor scene which shows a wintry day outside. I am not a big fan of the cold. I love the sounds and look of falling snow but after spending the first 20 years of my life in an area with endless winters, I ended up moving somewhere tropical and never went back lol. So, my cherished memories from winter are being on the inside by a fire, sipping hot chocolate, and looking out. I stamped images from the Birdie Brown “Merry Christmoose” Stamp Set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic alcohol markers. I then cut them out with their coordinating die-namics

I set aside my images to work on the base of my card. For my base, I used both the Outside the Box and Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics. I added a window and curtains using the fun Window Dressing Die-namics. I blended an a small piece of smooth white card stock with MFT Sno Cone, Summer Splash, and Tropical Teal Premium Dye Inks for my snowy window. All products are listed in the links below!

Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! One lucky winner will be chosen at random. Head on over to the MFT Blog for more inspiration and to enter!

Good for you for going where it’s tropical. I like your version of winter, inside all warm and cozy. To think I left a place that never really snowed to live in a place that gets snow every year. LOL Ah well. Your box card is fantastic. I am always so impressed by your use of red. It always looks so rich and vibrant on your cards. Your card designs always delight as well. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
Lol, it would be hard to get me to move somewhere “cold” again. Although, I really do miss the seasonal changes as well as pine trees and the smells of fall and winter. I could probably get used to it again if I had to lol. 🤔❤️😁
Now that we a retired…looking out at the snow drinking a cup of coffee and being so glad we don’t have to go out until the snowplow goes by. That’s a great gift!!! I love box cards, thanks to you, and am making all 20 of my Halloween cards box cards. Lots of fun elements not at all scary. Love your design Rachel and will definitely put a pin to it.
Oooh, I can’t wait to see them! And twenty of them, wow! 👏🏻
And being retired is definitely the way to go when it comes to the snow LOL. I can’t tell you how many days I had to get up when it was dark, sometimes help shovel the driveway, and then trudge up my street in single digit weather to get to the bus stop to go to school. My nose was always the color of Rudoph’s all winter long. 😂
