MFT Stamps | February Release Countdown – We’re Halfway There!

February 5, 2022

We are halfway through the My Favorite Things February Release Countdown! I have some fun shaker gift tags to share with you today that feature a bunch of new items from this amazing new release!

I colored images from the new Itching to Tell You Happy Birthday Stamp Set illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller and combined them with the new Hip Hip Yay Day and Hip Hip Yay Numbers Stamp Sets by Miss Tiina. All of my images were stamped onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored with Copic Sketch Markers, and cut out with their coordinating dies.

** Links to all products can be found at the bottom of this post. **

I used the Hip Hip Yay Numbers Stamp Set to add a heart to the top of each tag and the Hip Hip Yay Day Stamp Set to add some sentiments to the backs of my tags.

I left them simple and uncolored but the space inside the font would be super easy to color if you wanted to.

To create the tags themselves, I die cut 6 arched frames for each tag from Smooth White Card Stock using the Inside & Out Stitched Arch STAX Die-namics. I simply taped the largest and second largest arch together to create a die that would then cut out a frame. Once finished, I glued 3 sets of 5 tags together and added and ink blended panel behind them. For each ink blended piece, I had blended a mix of Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks. Next, I used the second smallest arch to create the piece to which I hole punched a small hole to add my string. I glued each small arch onto the back of my ink blended piece and then added one last large arch behind it to which I had stamped my sentiments.

Once finished, I then flipped the tags over and added some sequin embellishments. I die cut three large arched pieces of clear acetate and adhered them to the front of each tag before adding my last arched frame. Lastly, I adhered my images with 3D foam adhesive tape as well as some string and the hearts.

These were a lot of fun to make and look super cute attached to a gift!
