Hello friends! I am beyond thrilled to share with you a brand new MFT Illustrator today! My sweet, fellow DT member, Yan Au, is the creator of our new line of YUZU stamps. Be one of the first to start this amazing new collection of stamps. I absolutely LOVE her illustrations! The first one that I have to share with you today is called Island Shell-ebration.

I created a fun, tropical Mini Slimline Outside the Box Level Up Card featuring some of these new images. I combined this new stamp set along with the Mini Slimline Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics and brand new Mini Slimline Outside the Box Waves Die-namics. I cut my both my card base and waves from some Smooth White Card Stock. I blended my waves with a mix of Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks to add some shading. I also splattered each piece (while the ink was still wet) with some water droplets to add some texture and dimension to my waves so that they would appear more “water-like”.

I stamped all of my images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating Island Shell-ebration Die-namics to cut them out.

Colors Used:
- Waves: Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feather, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks
- Sky: Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink
- Red: R05, R35, R39, R89
- Pinks: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV17
- Teal: G000, BG11, BG23, BG18
- Purples: V01, V04, V06, V17
- Greens: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
- Tree Trunk: E40, E42, E43, E44
- Sand: E31, E23, E25, E29

Here’s a pictures of a Mini Slimline Outside the Box Card with the waves being folded and fit into a mini slimline envelope (also called a coin envelope). Because I placed the palm tree up higher on my card example, I would most likely use a regular business envelope to mail it.

Oh my goodness! I love this! The new designer has a similar feel to Birdie Brown’s images it seems to me. I have always admired your box cards, your coloring and your card designs. I think it’s especially fun when you cut out the section in the front to get the underwater peek. Such a fun card. Thanks for the smile. I say that because after a couple of glorious weather days, we are going to get another snowstorm this weekend. The crossing of winter into spring in the Rockies is like weather whiplash. LOL Hope you have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, my friend! 🥰 I agree! Her style seems similar to Birdie Brown and I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with!

I have been eyeing that mini slim line box die… You know how much I enjoy a box card. This sweet beach scene makes me long for warmer days … Still getting some snow up here in the North. Lovely colors and I love that adorable crab and surfboard. Great job! 😄
