Hello crafty friends! If you have some free time in the next week, I encourage you to come play along with MFT Sketch Challenge #586 for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! One lucky winner will be chosen at random.

Here is a look at the current sketch layout. You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly but can flip, rotate, and/or replace the shapes with images.

For my take on the sketch, I stamped and colored some images from the adorable BB Penguins in Paradise Stamp Set. I used the coordinating Penguins in Paradise Die-namics to cut them out. For my two rectangular pieces, I trimmed some Smooth White Card Stock and blended the base of them with some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink while using the Drifts & Hills Stencil to mask off the area. I then used some masking tape to mask off the top of the ocean and blended it with some MFT Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink. For the sky, I blended some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink.

I then trimmed off the edges and any harsh ink stains and layered each of my rectangular pieces with some Smooth White Card Stock. I added a piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of beige patterned paper from the Colorful Canvas Paper Pad to my top folding, A2 sized card base.

Next, I adhered my rectangular pieces to my card base, slightly overlapping each other. I then stamped my sentiment with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and lastly added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares for a pop of dimension.

These penquins are the cutest. Love this layout. It really gives the card a great look. I feel like a penquin here in Michigan! We had a few days of 60 degrees and now we are back to freezing in the night and only 40’s during the day!! TFS
Oh boy, that’s too cold for me lol! I hope it warms up for you soon!💕
