Hello friends! This month’s Slimline Challenge theme is all about babies! Your goal is to create a slimline card for a baby or for baby’s first birthday. For my take on the challenge, I created a one-layer slimline card that features adorable images from both the Bear Hugs and Sprinkling You With Love Stamp Sets.

To start my card, I trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 3.5″ x 8.5″ and used my MISTI to stamp my images in the exact place where I wanted them. I then stamped all of my images again onto a piece of Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Sheets and fussy cut them out. Next, I placed each masking piece on top of their exact image so that I could blend my background sky.

Prior to blending my background, I also die cut a large moon from some more masking paper using the Over the Moon Die-namics. I placed this piece on my card base where I had lined it up before stamping my images and then ink blended my background with some Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Chipped Sapphire, and some Black Soot around the outer edges.) Once I finished blending, I then splattered my background lightly with some water using a size 4 round paint brush and then some diluted opaque white paint after blotting dry the water droplets.

Once dry, I then removed my masking sheets and colored my images with Copic Markers. Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder onto a sheet of Black Licorice Card Stock.
