MFT Stamps | Card Maker Success Summit – July 2022

July 28, 2022

Hello crafty friends! Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you stopped by wanting some more info on the card that was shown in today’s live video for the My Favorite Things portion of the Card Maker Success Summit, you’re in the right place!

If you missed it, you can check out the live video recording HERE.

Before we start, I want to give you a list with all the links for the products that were used in today’s live sample.

** Please note that at this moment, there are only a handful of the Cheers to Your Birthday Card Kit bundles still available. If you want one at the bundle deal of 30% OFF the regular retail price, I suggest that you get yours now. Click HERE to check it out. **

But don’t worry, if the kits sells out, you can still buy each kit item separately while supplies last.

INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS USED:

To start my card, I first die cut my hands/arms from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. (You can simply use colored card stock if you want, but I wanted to add some shading and color mine with Copic Markers).

Next, I die cut my glasses from a piece of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. I then die cut pieces for the insides of the glasses from MFT colored Card Stock. I ended up adding a little bit of shading using Copic Markers to these pieces as well.

Copic Colors Used:

I then glued the liquids for my drinks on top of the vellum that I had cut for the glasses. Next, I die cut all of my drink decor and garnishes from more MFT colored card stock and assembled my drinks using MFT On-Point Precision Glue to adhere the pieces together. I then set all of these pieces aside and made a quick Mini Slimline Background.

To do this, I trimmed a piece of Smooth White Card Stock slightly larger than 3″ x 6″ and blended this piece with Sno Cone, Summer Splash, and Tropical Teal MFT Premium Dye Inks. Next, I lightly splattered this background piece with water using a size 4 round paint brush. Make sure to blot any excess dry with a clean paper towel. Once this ink blended piece was dry, I then die cut it using the largest die from the Stitched Mini Slimline STAX Die-namics. Once dry, I then stamped my sentiment and then layered my card on a mini slimline top-folding card base that measured at 6.25″ x 3.25″ when folded.

** To make your folding card base, simply trim a piece of card stock to 6.25″ x 6.5″ and score at 3.25″ on the 6.5″ side. **

Lastly, I adhered the hands and drinks using some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape and then used a paper trimmer (you can use scissors if you want) to trim off any parts of the arms that overlapped the edges of my card.

Here are some other projects that I made using mainly the same products that I used above. Simply click any picture above for more details.
