Hello crafty friends! I am thrilled to share with you today two new projects that showcase the Spellbinders August Large Die of the Month – Strawberry Patch. I think this die set is just SO gorgeous!
For my first project, I created an A2 sized card featuring a stem of strawberries. To do this, I first die cut the top layer of my strawberries from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I also die cut the base layer from some Snowdrift Card Stock. Next, I colored the top layers of the strawberries with Copic Markers (R14, R35, R46, R59). Once I was done coloring, I then glued the top and bottom layers together.
Once finished, I set the strawberries aside and then die cut my leaves from a variety of green shades of card stock (colors listed in the links below). To finish these pieces, I next added a few highlights on my leaves and strawberries with a white gel pen. Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Perfect Pie Sentiments & Fillings Stamp Set and also lightly blended my background with some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink. Lastly, I adhered my images with some foam adhesive tape for a pop of dimensions.
Next, I created a fun A2 sized box card from scratch. I wanted it to resemble a strawberry basket, so I added a few strips around the top sides of the box with some 3D Foam Tape.
I created my strawberries and leaves in the same manner that I did in the card above and adhered them onto the shelves on the inside of the box base. I stamped my sentiment from the same set as above in green ink to coordinated with the green of the box base.
