I created a light-up slider card today featuring the new Chibitronics Craft With Light Kit – White Lights. I combined this fun kit along with the MFT Christmas Carols Stamp Set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

To start this card, I first created a rough drafty by stamping my images onto a 4.5″ x 5.75″ piece of white scrap paper as shown in the first photo above on the left. I then stamped all of my images again (center photo) onto pieces of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets. Next, I cut these masking pieces out with a pair of sharp scissors and used them to stamp and mask my images again onto my main card.

With my images still masked, I used some MFT Premium Dye Inks to add my background. I first ink blended my lit area with some Lemon Drop and Candied Yam Inks and then blended my night sky with some Lazy Day, Cornflower, Blue Beyond, and Extreme Black Inks. I still left my masks in place and then spattered some white paint, as shown in picture #3, to resemble snow. Once finished, I then trimmed my picture down to 4.25″ x 5.5″. The picture on the far right shows you what it looked like after removing the masks and prior to coloring with some Copic Markers.

Next, I trimmed another piece of white card stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and created my circuit using the new Chibitronics Craft with Light Kit – White Lights.
You can see this video HERE created by Stephanie Klauck from MFT Stamps for a better idea on how I created this card.

Lastly, I add some foam tape around my channel and light up circuit so that I can add my card front to the top. For my word “pull”, I used the MFT Interactive Labels Stamp Set.
