Hello crafty friends! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and happy New Year! I enjoyed some relaxing time off with my family but am excited to be back with a new project for MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #627. My card features a sweet image from the PI Sunny Smiles Stamp Set.

Here’s a look at this week’s sketch layout. You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly but can flip and/or rotate the layout or even substitute any shapes for images. For this week’s challenge, I went along with the main portion of the layout by trimming a few pieces of Cotton Candy and Ripe Raspberry Card Stock to 3 5/8″ wide by .25″ tall. I then added these strips to a piece of Smooth White Card Stock that I had trimmed to 4 7/8″ tall x 3 5/8″ wide with some liquid adhesive. Next, I layered this piece on top of a white piece of card stock that I had cut using the large scalloped rectangle die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. I then stamped my sentiment from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude Stamp Set above my strips of pink card stock and layered all of this onto an A2 sized, top folding, card base that I had cut from another piece of Ripe Raspberry Card Stock to match.

I then stamped my image onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with some Copic Markers. Lastly, I added my image onto my card front with some 3D foam adhesive squares for a pop of dimension.

I encourage you to stretch your creativity and come play along! One lucky winner will be chosen at random to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! For more challenge inspiration, as well as a link to upload your creations, stop by the MFT Blog. The deadline to enter is Tuesday, January 10th at 12PM EST.

Happy New Year, Rachel! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Your card here is just wonderful. So bright and vibrant and a happy way to start the new year. Thanks so much for sharing!
She is a beauty! Love her tee with that bright sun. Michigan hasn’t seen much of that. December was very overcast and then the blizzard came. 18″ of bright white snow… I am grateful that we are retired, so we watched and waited, and now we have no snow! Glad it’s a new Year and our holidays were sweet! TFS
