Hello friends! For Day 4 of the MFT Stamps January Release Countdown, I have a “yummy” card to share with you featuring the new Dessert on Display Die-namics. I combined this set with the upcoming X’s and O’s Background Stamp, as well as the Sweet Nothings clear stamp set.
I first die cut my cake pieces from some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Card Stock and used Copic Markers to color them. You can easily just use color card stock, but I wanted to add a little more depth to my images and decided to color them.
Copic Colors Used:
- Cake: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47
- White Icing: 0, W0, W2
- Blueberries: B12, B16, B18
- Strawberries: R14, R35, R89
- Greens: YG01, YG07, YG17, YG67
I used some Caribbean Sea Card Stock for my cake base platter and blended some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for a touch of color to my card background. For my card base, I trimmed a piece of Sno Cone Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamped my X’s and O’s background with some Summer Splash MFT Ink. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but I die cut my “glass” cake topper from a piece of clear acetate. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with black in and adhered my cake with some 3D foam adhesive.
