Hello friends! Welcome to the first day of the MFT June Release Countdown! I have a colorful card to share with you today featuring the new Mermaid for Each Other Stamp Set.

I absolutely love all things ocean/beach themed, so I immediately fell in love with this set. I stamped all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and used the coordinating Mermaid for Each Other Die-namics to cut them out.
** Scroll to the bottom of this post for a list of all the colors that I used. **

To create my background, I blended a mix of Shaded Lilac, Mermaid Lagoon, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love using this card stock because the inks (and Copic Markers) blend so easily without leaving many dark splotches of ink or colors bleeding. Once I blended my inks, I then added a generous amount of water splatters to it to give my background a “watery” texture. Once it was dry, I then used one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 2 to die cut it. Next, I adhered it to a top-folding, white A2 card base.

I also added a cave and ocean floor using the new Under the Sea Die-namics. I have another card to share with you later in this release that shows just how fun and versatile this die set is! Also, my ocean floor came from some new patterned paper that will be releasing with this new release. Stay tuned over the next 6 days for more sneak peeks and inspiration!
