Hello crafty friends! I have another card to share with you today featuring new products from the Purple Onion Stamps “Charmed By the Seal Collection” illustrated by Stacey Yacula.
** Affiliated links used where applicable at no extra cost to you. **
For my card today, I used a single rubber stamp called Slumber (Mouse in Hammock). Watch my quick reel (above) to see how I made this card.
** (TIP) ** If you’ve never used unmounted rubber stamps, you will need some type of stamping platform (I use a MISTI) along with a mounting platform or a variety of acrylic stamp blocks.
After masking off an area for the sand, I stamped my image onto a circular piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then re-stamped my image onto another piece of masking paper, fussy cut it out, and then adhered it right on top of my first stamped image to protect it from any ink when ink blending my background.

For my background, I used a blend of Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. Once I was finished blending, I then added a few spatters of diluted Opaque White Copic Paint for some added texture.
Once I was finished blending my background, I removed my masking pieces and then colored my images with Copic Markers.

Copic Colors Used:
- Mouse: W00, W1, W3, W5
- Pinks: RV52, RV83
- Sand: E30, E31, E33, E35
- Tree Trunks: E41, E42, E43, E44
- Palm Fronds: YG01, YG17, YG67, G99
- Teals: G000, BG34, BG18
- White: 0, C00, C1, C3
- Coconuts: E31, E23, E25

Oh goodness, how absolutely adorable! LOVE the ink blended background. For some reason, the link doesn’t work, but I know I can and will find it on IG to watch the magic happen. Love your reels. Thanks for all you do, Rachel!
Thank you for your comments, my sweet friend! The link didn’t work because someone (cough cough) forgot to add it lol. 🤦🏼♀️😂 I just fixed it; thank you for letting me know! I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day! 💖
Boy what a choice spot this little guy has … my husband and I both got sick this past week. We are on the mend and I did take in a few minutes of sunshine from my front porch this morning. I love that stripe on the hammock. Adorable for sure and Stacey never fails to amaze.
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve both been sick, but I’m glad that you’re on the mend and hope you are back to full health soon! Hugs! 💖
