Hello friends! Stenciling is a super easy method of creating quick, yet fascinating card backgrounds. If you are ever at a loss at what to do for the background of a card, stenciling or patterned paper are usually one of the quickest and simplest methods for creating one.

My card today features two background stencils as well as the new YUZU Pampered Pups Stamp Set. I typically prefer to use ink blending to fill in my stencil, but you can use embossing paste, texture paste, or some other type of coloring medium. For my background, I first blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink using the new Watercolor Rectangle Stencil. I then lifted my stencil and added the English Brick Wall Stencil behind my first one and lightly blended a small section of bricks with some Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Ink.

I stamped all of my images from the Pampered Pups Stamp Set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. After coloring my images with Copic Markers, I then used the coordinating Pampered Pups Die-namics to cut them out. I stamped my sentiment onto my card background and then adhered my images with 3D foam adhesive squares for extra dimension.

This set is perfect for sending cards to those you love whether they have pets or not. I love all of the sweet images in this set!
