Hello crafty friends! I have three CAS (clean and simple) cards to share with you today that feature the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember collaboration with MFT Stamps. The Sweet Safari Set comes in a bundle deal (that includes both the stamps and the dies) or just the Sweet Safari Stamp Set alone. For my cards today, I used only the stamp set and not the dies to show you a few ideas on how you can use this set to create some simple but colorful cards.
** These sets are only available for a limited time. Once they sell out, they are gone for good. If you don’t want to miss out, act quickly before they sell out! **

For my first card, I used the lion and the palm tree stamps from the set. I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and stamped my lion first. I then covered him with a mask that I had stamped and fussy cut from a piece of Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheets. Next, I stamped my palm tree next and masked it as well. Once both of my images were masked, I then lightly blended over and around them with some Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink and added some white ink spatters using some diluted Copic Opaque White Paint.

Once I was finished ink blending, I removed my masking pieces and colored my images with Copic Markers. (All colors will be listed at the bottom of this post.). Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with black Ink, trimmed my panel down to 4″ x 5.25″ and layered it onto an A2 card base made from some Simon Says Stamp Mint Card Stock.

I repeated the same process for my next two cards. However, for my card with the giraffe, I used some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide as my ink blended portion and layered my card onto some light blue card stock.

I once again colored my image with Copic Markers (listed at the bottom of this post).

For my last card, I stamped the adorable little rhino with the bird on top of him. I layered this panel onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue Card Stock and blended my background area with some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink.

If you don’t have the time or feel comfortable with masking your images to add some ink blending, you can simply leave this area blank or color it in with whatever medium of your choosing. You can just simply stamp and color and be done!
