Hello crafty friends! I have a festive slimline card to share with you today that features items from the new Spellbinders Merry Mug & Circle Delights Collection designed by Nichol Spohr.
My slimline card measures at 7.5″ x 3.75″. To start, I trimmed a piece of Pomegranate Card Stock to 7″ x 3.25″ and adding some White Modeling Paste using the gorgeous Blizzard Stencil (which is currently on sale!). Once finished with this piece, I set is aside to dry so that I could build my snowman.
I used both the Santa’s Festive Circle Crew and Festive Ornaments Etched Dies to create my snowman. I added some rosy cheeks using some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink along with a Q-tip. I had tried some blending brushes on a previous snowman, and I found that the Q-tip actually gave me more control on where I wanted my ink to go without streaking or adding too much ink.

For my holly and ivy piece that I added to the hat, I ended up die cutting them from some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and coloring them with Copic Markers (YG01, YG17, YG67; R14, R46, R89). This step isn’t necessary, and colored card stock would work just as well, however, I wanted to add some shading to this piece to really make it pop. I did the same with the bow tie. Lastly, I used a size 10 Sakura White Gel Pen to add some accents before adhering it to my card. To get my ornament string, I used the long skinny die from the Assorted Tags Etched Dies along with some Mirror Gold Card Stock.
