Streamside Studios | Conversation Cuties

January 23, 2024

Hello crafty friends! In my opinion, you can never have too many cute critter stamp sets! 😘

I have a slimline love-themed slimline card to share with you today featuring some adorable critters from the new Conversation Cuties Stamp Set from Streamside Studios. I absolutely adore this set and had a lot of fun creating my card today. This set can be used for more than just Valentine’s Day, and would make the perfect set to send a sweet card to anyone that you care about at any time of the year.

Which is your favorite critter from my card today? I’d love to know!

I first stamped all of my images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored them with Copic Markers and added some accents with a white gel pen. Because there are no coordinating dies to this set, I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut them out. You can also fussy cut them with scissors or create a one-layer card.

Copic Colors Used:

  • Reds: R14, R46, R59, R89
  • Pinks: RV02, RV04, RV17
  • Browns: E41, E42, E43, E44
  • Grays: W00, W1, W3, W5
  • Cat: E51, E53, E55, E57

My card measured at 4″ x 9″ and fits perfectly into a large slimline or business envelope. For my background, I blended a mix of Candied Apple, Saltwater Taffy, and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Inks onto a 3.5″ x 8.5″ piece of smooth white card stock. To give my background some more texture, I added some spatters of diluted Copic Opaque White Paint as well as some dots with a red (R14) Copic Marker. Lastly, after stamping my sentiment, I adhered my images to my card front with some 3D foam adhesive tape to allow them to pop up a bit from the card base.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Feel free to check out the other amazing stamps this company has to offer! You can find them at Streamside Studios or also at Simon Says Stamp.

Oh Rachel, you make it SO hard to choose a favorite! At first I thought the bunny, but that cow is so cute. No, it’s the kitty….see??? Thank for sharing this delightful card with the beautiful background and lovely colored images!

Lol, thanks so much for your lovely comments, my friend! You always make me smile. ❤️ Shawne (from Streamside Studios) creates some of the cutest illustrations! The cow is my favorite, but truly I love them all. 😁

I love the second one in line. I think it is a cow! Cows are my favorite and I have a big collection of them. The lineup is so sweet. I have memories of making a Valentine’s box for on my desk in elementary school. Everyone put in cards from the class and it was such a fun day. Cupcakes were my Mom’s forte and I loved receiving cards from all of my classmates. Thanks for the memories!!

Thanks so much for sharing! I have good memories of making Valentine’s Day boxes for elementary school as well. Sometimes I miss those days where life was so simple lol. 🩷 (p.s. I love the cow too. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but the cow wins for me too. My dad collects cows as well, so it’s fun to find things to add to his collection. ☺️🐄)
