Altenew | Stampwheel 2.0 – Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY!

November 13, 2024

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to the Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 Blog Hop! Come hop along with us for a chance to win a gift card from Altenew!

I’m so excited to share with you the Stampwheel 2.0. I have three projects that I created using this amazing and versatile product. The Stampwheel 2.0 makes crafting so much easier by being an all-in-one stamping, stenciling, and ink-blending tool. It definitely saved a lot of time with stamping my layering stamps on my projects today because I didn’t have to line the pieces up over and over again. I only needed to line them up once and I could simple rotate the wheel and repeat my stamping and quickly create multiple flowers with different inks.

For each of my cards, I used the Stampwheel to easily stamp floral layering images from the Cupped Flowers Stamp Set. I used a variety of Altenew mini ink cubes for my colors. Once I was finished stamping a variety of flowers, I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I next used the sticky mat inside the stampwheel to hold a 3.75″ x 5″ piece of light blue card stock in place so I could ink blend some blue inks onto it to add some shading from the bottom left corner of the card toward the top right corner.

Once my ink was dry, I used the sticky mat again to hold the Wavy Grid Stencil in place and added a bit of Altenew White Embossing Paste to the center of my card stock. I set this piece aside and allowed it to dry prior to stamping my sentiment and adding my flowers with dimensional foam tape.

For my second card, I repeated some of the same steps as my card above but with different colors. This time, I blended some pink inks for my background on top of a piece of light pink card stock.

In order to add some interest, I die cut a piece of white card stock with the Piped Waffle Die and adhered it to my background.

Lastly, I used my florals that I had created earlier with my stampwheel and adhered them to a light green card base that I had ink blended with some teal inks.

This time, I added a die cut using the Linear Crossroads Die and white card stock.

Thanks so much, Meghan! I love the new Stampwheel too! ❤️

  • Golda Peterson November 13, 2024 at 2:59 PM

Your cards are all beautiful and I love how easy you say it is. My question is: how easy is the sticky mat to clean?
I do love the idea of all of the room and ability to use this new StampWheel.

    • rachelalvaradodesigns November 13, 2024 at 4:43 PM

Hi Golda! Thanks so much for your sweet comments! 🥰 So, I used a baby wipe to clean the sticky mat after any time I got ink on it when ink blending, and so far, all of the ink has come off easily. I hate when my mats get stains on them, so I’ve been very happy with it so far. I will say that it probably depends on the ink. So far, I’ve used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks and Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks, and I’ve had no issue with staining.

The pink one is my favorite!

  • Pamela Selinski November 13, 2024 at 4:40 PM

Well your cards are amazing. I can’t say I have a favorite because as each one came up on the screen there was a lot of oohing and aahing. Can’t wait to see what I turn out with the new stampwheel. I like the ability to use a full sheet of cardstock. Thanks for the inspiration

    • rachelalvaradodesigns November 13, 2024 at 4:45 PM

Thank you so much, Pamela! 💖 I like being able to use a full sheet of card stock too. When I made the majority of my flowers, I was able to use a full sheet to stamp multiple flowers. It’s also great when stamping a page of images to color.

  • Georgina Brown November 13, 2024 at 4:47 PM

I absolutely love how colorful and vibrant your cards are. Just beautiful. I wish I could match colors like you.

    • rachelalvaradodesigns November 13, 2024 at 4:50 PM

Awww, you are so sweet, Georgina; thank you! I have some “go-to” color combos that I like to use, which makes it much easier. Sometimes I will just google themed color combos online if I’m struggling to come up with something that I like. ☺️

Hi Rachel. Your cards just make me smile. They are so happy and vibrant. Thank you for including the Instagram reel to show us how to make them. I have never used Altenew Paste through a stencil. It’s a great 3-D effect. Thanks for showing how you had all the layers on the flower stamps on the Stampwheel 2.0 plate and it worked so seamlessly. I am so excited because my Stampwheel 2.0 is on its way to my house, and I can’t wait.
