Hello crafty friends! I have something different to share with you today that features some of the new Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create Dies designed by Nichol Spohr.

I have never done much stitching before, but these looked like a lot of fun, so I made three felt plushies featuring the new Felt Reindeer, Felt Candy Cane, and Felt Pumpkin Lane House Etched Die Sets. If you head on over to any of the Felt Stitch & Create product links, Nichol has posted a handy video tutorial for each set.

You don’t have to make a felt plushie with these items, but if you decide to try them, they are a lot of fun to make and look super cute when finished. This is the first time that I’ve ever tried something like this, and even though my stitching is far from perfect, I think they turned out well enough.

These also make super cute ornaments to hang on a Christmas tree or even to make a flat item to adhere to the front of a card.

I know that the fall season is almost over, but I love this felt Pumpkin Lane House set so much!

TIP: One thing I want to mention is that you should make sure to use 100% wool felt if you are going to make a plushie or an ornament. The reason is because 100% wool felt is a lot stronger than some of the cheaper felt blends that are out there. I initially tried using some of my felt blends when I started making my projects because I was curious to see the difference between the two, and my felt blends ended up tearing and not die cutting very well. Spellbinders sells some gorgeous bundles of Merino Wool Felt, but you can also find them at some other online crafting stores as well.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!

I think they turned out so good! I am a quilter, so stitching is right up my alley. They are too adorable for sure. I agree with using good quality felt. Nicely done!
Thank you, Anne! I bet you would do a better job than me! They were easy to make, but I still need practice on getting my lines straight lol. Hope you had a great Christmas and New Years! 🩷
