Spellbinders | Simon’s Space Adventure

February 8, 2025

Hello crafty friends! I have two cards to share with you today that showcase the Simon’s Space Adventure Collection from Spellbinders. All products used are listed at the bottom of this post. Affiliated links were used where applicable at no extra cost to you.

My first card features the adorable little alien from the UFO Friends Etched Die Set along with the Layered Starry Night Stencil that comes in the Starry Night 3D Emboss & Cut Folder and Stencil Bundle. To start, I fist ink blended a strip of starry night sky on my 4.25″ x 5.5″ A2 sized white card base after I had taped off the areas that I didn’t want blended. I then blended a mix of Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks.

Once finished with my ink blending, I kept my tape in place and then used the three-stencil pack to blend some starts on my background. On the third stencil, I ended up adding some Silver Lunar Paste for my stars. I then set this piece aside and assembled my alien and sentiment with colored card stock pieces. I also created a planet using the To the Moon Etched Die Set. Once my background was dry, I then adhered all of my images with some dimensional foam tape.

For my second card, I created a shaker card and added images from the To the Moon Etched Die Set onto a Distress Ink blended background. For my galaxy background, I used a mix of Uncharted Mariner and Picked Raspberry. I created a rectangular frame using basic rectangle dies and die cutting two of them together. I glued five frames together before adding my rectangular acetate piece and then adding one last frame on the top.

Thanks so much for dropping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
