Hello friends! I am so excited to share with you the newest release from Pinkfresh Studio! This release is packed with so many goodies for the holidays, but versatile enough that you can use many of these sets all year round.
My project today features the Lantern Landscapes Die Set and coordinating stencils along with the Lantern Landscapes: Snowy Cottage Stencil Set and Timeless Tidings Die Set. I used the Lantern Landscapes Die Set to create my card into a 3D shaker ornament that can be used as both a card and/or a Christmas ornament.

I first blended my snowy cottage scene onto a sheet of smooth white card stock using the Lantern Landscapes: Snowy Cottage Stencils along with Pinkfresh Studio Inks and the Landscape Lantern Dies.
Ink Colors Used:
- Stencil 1: SKY: Atlantis, Paradise, Ocean Breeze; SIDEWALK: Metropolis; WINDOWS: Sweet Mustard
- Stencil 2: None (I didn’t use this stencil so that some of my snowy areas stayed completely white.)
- Stencil 3: MOUNTAINS: Waterfall; DOOR: Candy Apple
- Stencil 4: Misty Coast
- Stencil 5: Key Lime
- Stencil 6: Fruit Punch
- Stencil 7: Gathered Twigs

For my lantern itself, I used the Lantern Landscapes coordinating stencils and blended a mix of Passion Fruit, Berrylicious, Candy Apple, and Gathered Twigs. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and then die cut the lantern shape again from some Brushed Gold Card Stock. I then fussy cut pieces of the brushed gold lantern to glue on top of my red lantern to give it some more interested and two tones.

In order to created my shaker card, I then die cut the lantern again six times from some 100lb white card stock (any color would work). I glued my snowy cottage scene to one of the white lanterns I had die cut and then added (glued) four other lantern pieces together on top of it to create a frame.
I then added a piece of clear acetate to the back of the lantern with liquid adhesive and then glued another white lantern piece behind this to hide the edges of the acetate. Next, I poured some chunky white glitter on top of my snowy scene, glued another piece of acetate (I fussy cut both pieces of acetate to fit the window of the lantern) on top of my scene and then glued my final red lantern piece on top to seal off the glitter.
Lastly, I added some holly and berries that I had die cut from colored card stock using the new Timeless Tidings Die Set. To give them some more depth, I blended the edges of the holly and berries with some matching colored ink.

I love the idea of turning your card intoBlog comment creation a 3D shaker ornament—such a clever way to make something that doubles as décor! The way you left some stencil areas white really adds to the snowy effect and makes the scene feel more realistic.
