Hello friends! I have another card to share with you featuring products from the gorgeous new Waffle Flower Under the Sea Release. This time, I created a 3D box card that looks like a diorama of some ocean life.

To start my card, I first made my box card from scratch. It folds flat to fit into a standard 5×7 envelope. You can follow the following steps to make one of your own.

• Trim two pieces of 80-100lb white card stock to 5″ x 6.25″
• Score along the 6.25″ side at both 4.25″ and 5.75″ and fold along the score lines.
• Die cut a rectangular window into the center area of one of the pieces
• Add glue to the 1/2 tab on each piece and use the tabs to attach to two pieces together to form a box (note: the tabs should not be glued to each other)
• While standing, the box should measure 5″ tall by 4.25″ wide and 1.5″ deep.
• Trim three pieces of smooth white card stock to 5″ x 2″ and score on each end (on the 5″ side) at 3/8″ to create small tabs to glue to the inner sides of the box. (If you want the piece to already have color, simply use color card stock instead of white and skip the step where you can add ink blending to the piece.)
• After the pieces have been scored, use the Wavy Border Dies to die cut the tops of the pieces to resemble sandy drifts
• Add some color to each piece with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and some shading on the top border with Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Ink.
• Attach the pieces to the bottom section of the box card (inside the box)
• Use the Under the Sea Die to die cut all of the foliage and accessory pieces, assemble them, and set them aside.
• Trim a piece of white card stock to slightly smaller than 4.25″ x 5″ and add some color using Peacock Feathers & Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks.
• Add water spatters to this piece and blot dry with a paper towel.
• Once dry, glue this ink blended background piece to the inside back of the box card.
• Adhere the scenery where you desire inside the box
• Die cut a few fish using the new Postage Collage Fish Die
• Adhere them to the inside of the box using strips of clear acetate.
• Head emboss your sentiment from the Bubbly Sentiments stamp set with Fine Detail Embossing Powder onto a piece of black card stock and die cut with the coordinating sentiment die.
• Adhere sentiment to the top center of box.

I absolutely love this release and think the Under the Sea Die is gorgeous. I paired it with some cute tropical fish from the Postage Collage Fish Die Set.

** Most of my foliage and accessories were die cut onto white card stock and colored with Copic Markers for extra shading. However, colored card stock would work just as well! **
