Hello crafty friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! We have been dealing with a virus that has gone through my household for the last three weeks. My kids don’t get sick often, but they all took turns this time, so it’s been pretty busy over here. They’re all finally on the upswing, and I’m back with three colorful cards showcasing new products from the Waffle Flower Crafts Fall Favorites Release.

My first card features one of the sweet little owls from the Owl Duo Die-n-Stencil Set combined with some foliage from the Leafy Backdrop Die, a branch from the Autumn Branch Die Set, and some leaves from the Woodland Hugs Die. I started my card by first die cutting my owl from smooth white card stock and using the coordinating stencil and some light and dark brown inks to quickly color him in.
You can check out my short video reel below to see how I made this card. Click the link below to watch the process on Instagram.

Once my owl was finished, I set him aside to work on the leafy background. To do this, I used the Leafy Backdrop Die to die cut my foliage 4x’s from yellow card stock. The separate pieces are easy to snip apart, so I did that for two of the pieces. I then took the individual pieces I had cut apart and ink blended them with orange ink first and then some red ink along the outer edges of each piece to give them more dimension. Once finished, I added some dimensional foam tape to the back of each piece and then attached them back onto the other two foliage pieces that I hadn’t snipped apart. I then added them to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of white card stock that I had lightly blended with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I added a tree branch (using the Autumn Branch Die Set) to the left center of the card with liquid adhesive and then die cut some leaves from a variety of colored card stock pieces using the small leaf die from the Woodland Hugs Die Set. To finish my card, I adhered my owl with more dimensional foam tape and then heat embossed my sentiment from the Real Hoot Sentiments Stamp Set with fine detail white embossing powder.

My next card showcases the lovely large tree from the Woodland Hugs Die Set. I followed the same process as I had done in my first card to create my tree foliage but used teal card stock instead of yellow. I added the word “Hugs” that I had die cut from light teal card stock using the Simple Greetings Trio Die after I ink blended the bottom of it with Pine Needles Distress Ink.

I also added another heat embossed sentiment to the center of the card using the new Sunshine Days Sentiment Combo. This card measures as an A6 card at 4.5″ wide x 6.25″ tall.

Lastly, I created a clean & simple card using the heart that I die cut for my second card when die cutting the tree, but didn’t use in my second card. I layered it with snippets from a dark brown piece of card stock that I had die cut with the beautiful Burlap Die after I added some brown ink spatters from some dark brown watercolor paint.

I also added some more colorful leaves using the large leaf die from the Woodland Hugs Die Set and used the Simple Greetings Trio Die once again to die cut a word (Hello) for my sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed these cards today! You can check out this amazing release in more detail HERE.
